March 15th - The Lake
Placid/Wilmington CYC Coalition submitted its reapplication for year three
of a five-year grant award from the Drug Free Communities Support Program.
Along with funds from the Reiss Foundation, the grant supports a number of
prevention strategies in both Lake Placid and Wilmington aimed at
decreasing youth involvement in at-risk behaviors by changing risk and
protective factors in the communities. The Coalition, with members from
many sectors of the community, has been working for almost four years to
create conditions which will better support the healthy development of
youth in both communities.
